Cambridge Benefit Solutions (CBS) is pleased to announce that we have been recognized as a 2017 Copper level award winner by the Healthy Arizona Worksites Program (HAWP).
The HAWP program is a public health initiative that has been developed through partnership between the Arizona Department of Health Services and the Maricopa County Department of Public Health. This statewide program provides Arizona employers with training, technical assistance, tools, and resources to design, implement, and evaluate worksite wellness initiatives.
CBS was recognized as a Copper Level Healthy Workplace based on our commitment to developing a wellness program to support employees. We completed the HAWP 101 training program. This year CBS has implemented Go365, a workplace wellness program offered through Humana. As part of this program, employees have completed a health risk assessment and a biometric screening. Employees are logging fitness activities and can access wellness support through Go365. Employees are rewarded through the Go365 program for participation and goals that are met. In addition to the Go365 program, employee workstations have been upgraded with flexible sit/stand apparatus to encourage less hours spent sitting. Don Fechter, and the team at CBS recognize that employees spend many hours at work, making the workplace and ideal platform to influence healthful decisions through worksite wellness initiatives. While we are thrilled to have achieved Copper status, we will be working hard to move to Silver status next year. CBS will be designing additional goals to support employee health and wellness and implementing evidence-based wellness initiatives to help us meet that goal. We plan to implement corporate challenges and offer additional rewards for employee engagement. We look forward to developing a health workplace through the support of the HAWP program.
